The Board of Directors of the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame is pleased to announce the following inductees to be honoured at our 2026 Gala Induction Ceremony:
Inductees
Delmer (Del) Rints – Builder – Hockey
- Volunteer Director, Gloria Rints Memorial Silver Stick Hockey Tournament in Whitby since 1985
- Leadership: Tournament has grown from 30 teams (2 age groups) to 120+ teams (4 age groups)
- Stewardship: Directs Marketing, Registration, Schedules, Volunteers, Vendors, Financial Reporting
Eric Perroni – Athlete – Lacrosse
- 8-Time National Lacrosse Champion – Peewee B, 3 Minto Cups (Jr A), 4 Mann Cups (Sr A)
- 7-Time Major Series Lacrosse Champion, including 6 Consecutive from 1986 through 1991
- Inductee: Ontario Lacrosse HOF (2018) and Canadian Lacrosse HOF (2006, 2019, and 2021)
2001 Anderson CVI Boys AAA – Team – Volleyball
- First LOSSA School to win an OFSAA AAA Volleyball Title; Undefeated (7-0) at OFSAA
- Won LOSSA Title with an 8-0 Record; Swept All 8 Matches by Scores of 2 Sets to None
- Overall Record of 34-1; Won Last 30 Consecutive Matches without Losing a Single Set
