Mona Gibney

Mona was born in Calgary, Alberta and moved to Whitby in 1974. She joined the Whitby Figure Skating Club in 1980 and became a member of the Precision Skating teams in 1981. Over the next several years, Mona captured a Silver Medal at the Novice level, 3 Gold Medals in Junior, and 3 more Gold Medals at the Senior level with the Ice Fyre. She became a professional skating coach in 1991 with the Whitby Juvenile team.
