Jack McKenzie was selected to bolster the Whitby Dunlop squad at the start of the 1957-58 season because of his prior experience playing overseas with the Kitchener-Waterloo Flying Dutchmen in the 1956 Olympic Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy. Jack was an outstanding player with the Dunlops in their Championship series.
McKenzie taught school in Preston, Ontario then retired to Huntsville with his wife Joyce. They have two sons, two daughters and four grandchildren. Jack and his wife winter in Florida and his hobbies are golf and community work. His favourite memories of the Championships were saluting the royal box before each game and the singing of O’ Canada after each game.
