Wren Blair

Born in Lindsay, Ontario, Wren Blair established an enviable record of success throughout his hockey career. His managerial influence and leadership led his variious teams to industrial league championships, 2 Eastern Pro League titles, 2 CHA Ontario Senior ‘B’ championships, 2 Senior ‘A’ Allan Cup titles, and the 1958 World Championship.

Wren played an important role in re-establishing the Oshawa Generals franchise in 1962-63 through an agreement negotiated with the Boston Bruins, and he solidified this re-birth with the signing of Bobby Orr that same season.

Wren went on to serve as Coach and General Manager of the new Minnesota North Stars NHL franchise and also held the position of Director of Player Personnel with the Los Angeles Kings.
