John Parrott was born in Ajax in 1960. He received his secondary school education at Henry Street High School in Whitby and at Dennis O’Connor High School where he was named Athlete of the Year in 1976.
John was first introduced to lacrosse in 1979, and in the 1980 Minto Cup championships, he scored an overtime goal to help defeat New Westminster.
He later went on to play Senior Men’s Basketball where his team went to the Ontario Senior finals in 1985.
